We try to provide you with accurate and updated information on Sufism and Sufis. Perhaps you already know about the whirling Sufi Dervishes, or have heard of Sufi music. These are only a very small part of the philosophical worldview and way of life, that Sufism advocates. It is important to know, Sufism is neither a religion or sect. Sects are trying constantly to recruit new followers, in a religion we must believe in a certain way, in a person or a book. Sufis are found throughout the world, and have all sorts of nationalities and belonging to all different walks religions. They are not members of an organization, they may not even know each other. Sufi Dervishes are completely ordinary people living their lives in the community. Their contact with each other is through the heart. Using the heart for being in contact with the master and with the brain trying to live in the society in a peaceful and loving way. By day, they work to support there family, and at night they meditate for ealising the true self.
